RAM

I’ll just put this right here…

Random Access Memory

The look of long memory, of paths long lost,
Stares back in reflection, the gift of light
Gathered in the glistening of an eye
Reflecting memory’s sight, memory’s cost.

Tripping along mind-roads, the hazard holds the die
Cast, a random walk, dark forests, bright skies in turns,
That pivot about a vertex, singular in gravitas,
Pulling the edges in, bending light in memory’s eyes.

A forced perspective, ever shifting ravenous
Dreams, what is remembered lives beyond your will,
Warping, folding the space of thought,
The seer’s cryptographic mark on memory’s randomness.

How much future has memory bought
When time erases conscious thought
And memory irrupts, a random trot,
Down a lane in time you never sought?
